Vacuum tube single -ended tube  amplifier GU-80The amplifier combines two separate modules – for the left and for the right stereo channels.Each module implements an amplifier stage built using a vacuum tube 6Э6П-ЕВ ( e810cc  , D3a )  and a 300V voltage converter, which in turn supplies operational voltage to the output tube GU-80.The input of every module is routed to its RCA input connector, and its volume control. The input sensitivity of the amplifier is sufficient to directly accept the input signal from either a turntable or a pre-amplifier.The rear panel of the amplifier includes two connectors. They are used to set supply current to the output vacuum tube (240mA). To control the output current, a multi-turn potentiometer is accessible from the rear panel. To adjust the current, a small flat screwdriver should be inserted into an access slot in the rear panel.The built-in power supply provides the normal operation from the line voltage in the range of 170 to 265VAC. The power supply has an overvoltage detection and protection: if the line voltage exceeds the nominal value, the protection circuitry automatically shuts down the amplifier.The wide range of the line voltages is made possible by use of a proprietary microcontroller-based circuitry, which monitors the line voltage, and automatically selects the proper tap of the power transformer.
